Fears - 2013

Everyday you wake up and start your day. There are many things you want to do, many things you want to be. You want to create, feel the energy, you want to fly. Sometimes you want to change everything and you feel that you can do it!
But… Can you?
What if you’re left alone, what if you get sick, poor, without friends, what if you loose your house, your car, what about the future, the insurance, the government, what if you forget to switch off the oven, the lamp, what if you loose your mother’s, father’s, sister’s, brother’s love, what if you are not smart enough, capable enough, strong enough, what if you look like a fool, what if god doesn’t like it, what if they say things about you…
What if…
So many things stand in front of you, so strong, so clear, so focused. Your fears. You make them real, you step back even if they are so fake. So fake.

Rorschach Flower - 2013

The extremely interesting structure of this delicate plant led me to experiment, applying repetitions and reversals on the theme. The result reminded me of the Rorschach inkblot projective Technique, the Rorschach psychometric test named under Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach, in an artistic version.

A comment on dangerous food, GMO, genetically modified seeds and other forms of toxic contamination which end up in our plates. Banned pesticides and lubricants, harmful substances found in plastics, detergents and cosmetics, biocides and wood preservatives, these and many other bioaccumulative chemicals (chemicals that remain in our body) which have been linked to a number of serious diseases, including cancer, are part of our "daily meals". Many international research organizations have proven that most of the foods we consume, even those considered 'healthy', like honey, olive oil, bread and fish, contribute to the accumulation of dangerous chemicals in our bodies. Huge financial interests are lined up against human health and well being.
